ODOT plans to hold public hearings on Draft EIS by fall 2017

Posted: Wednesday - June 14, 2017

ODOT has completed its analysis of the potential impacts and benefits of improved passenger rail service documented in the Draft Tier 1 Environmental Impact Statement. The analysis looked at two build alternatives and the No Action alternative. The EIS is currently under review by the Federal Railroad Administration and is expected to be released for public comment in late summer or early fall 2017. Public hearings will be scheduled in the form of open houses, including an online open house to answer questions and receive public comments. After the public comment period is complete, ODOT and FRA will review all comments and develop a final EIS and record of decision identifying the final, selected alternative.
