ODOT hosted six public open houses along the project study corridor in January of 2013.
Open houses events were held in Salem, Portland, Tualatin, Oregon City, Albany, and Springfield. The purpose of these meetings was to provide information and get input on the project goals and objectives and “corridor concepts,” which are ideas for potential rail route alignments and station locations. The public was also invited to participate in an online open house that mirrored the public meetings. Approximately 330 people participated in the public meetings and 1,200 people visited the online open house. We received about 700 comments through this outreach.
